Torrontés

From a very distant origin in Spain , where already almost has disappeared, at the moment it considers it to him like an exclusivity of Argentina . It has two big varieties: the torrontés riojano that covers the counties of La Rioja and Salta and it would be the authentic one, and the torrontés mendocino with their varying sanjuanina that could be another non identified grape. They give very aromatic wines.

Of doubtful origin, it is believed that it comes from the mediterranean. Related with the muscatels, today in day it is cultivated in the Iberian peninsula and in Argentina where without a doubt has given the best exponents like varietal.

The same as the Malbec, the Torrontés became the stump white emblemática of Argentina , representing us in the international market. With a very particular aromatic intensity where the fruits prevail, as the peach and flowers, as the rose or jasmine, it has been developed with excellence in Salta and also in Mendoza .

The biggest virtue in the Torrontés is the combination of voluptuous and encircling notes with a pleasant freshness and a frank and lingering mouth end. The balance between its acidity and the fruit makes it appear in mouth like a sweet wine, but it is not it; although good results are obtaining elaborating it as sweet. Ah!!.... it is not for undecided palates.. it Likes or it doesn't like. It doesn't admit terms means. Be to prove it!
