The province is located inside the subtropical area, with dry season with the existence of different microclimates due to the differences of height and of relief.

The annual half temperature oscillates among the 20° C in the east sector and about 12° C in the northwest. Among both regions there is a central fringe that crosses the north territory towards the south.the annual averages temperatures are about the 19°C.
