Pretty journey in train to Chapel of the Mount. Ideal to carry out with children and or tiliza the one spread of narrow trail that was built in 1892 to promote the tourism. It is a walk to carry out in one day, Saturdays and Sundays of the whole year. It doesn't include lunch.

The Train of the Mountains is, the only railroad of characteristic highly tourist that travels the Cordovan mountain landscapes. It is an inaugurated very old brunch July 2 1892 and that, in their moment, it served fundamentally like half of transport of loads between the city of Córdoba and Cruz of the Axis. Today, and after a parenthesis between 1977 and 1993, the convoy has become the main tourist attraction for one of the most picturesque regions in the Small Mountains of Córdoba.

The train begins its journey in the station Rodríguez of the Bust, in full capital city, at 9.00 o'clock on the dot. A locomotive and two boxcars begin then to rotate slowly between the last vestiges of the great city and the soft waves of the nearest mountains that, to little of walking, they lean imposing before the narrow trail of the convoy in ascent. After a first I scheme rather short, until The Calera, the journey enters in one of its more exciting passages.

It is necessary to cross the mountains heading for the Valley of Punilla and the gulch of the river Suquía it is shown as the only possible road. Always with the torrent like guide, the train begins its traveled zigzagueante hung virtually of the hillsides of the hills that, to this height, they rise abrupt on the bed of the Suquía. It is the most capricious tract in the trip, and the one that plays to their end with the brief stop in the halt San Asleep, fair beside the wall of the well-known mountain lake.

Walking slow and begun of the convoy takes step, after having finished the crossing of the mountains, to long right and soft slopes characteristic of the landscape of Punilla. Always in ascent and with the lake San Asleep now to their backs, the train begins to baste in its journey, one after other, the most important towns in the valley. Cosquín, Big Vegetable garden, the Skirt, Villa Giardino, all typical stations. Next to The Summit, the landscape changes suddenly. The infinite pampas, the soft mountain contours and fundamentally the sun of the noon marks unequivocal the highest point in the journey. The trip plays to its end. A light descent and the hill Uritorco, majestic and near, announces now that the Train of the Mountains arrived on time to destination: Chapel of the Mount, final of the journey
