The two varieties of quebracho are the fundamental species of the original forest. In the low forest it is located the mistol, brea and the locust. The rest conforms the arbustal invader, alternated with old grassland areas subject to indiscriminate pruning.

Park of Chaco and dry savannas

it is characterized by the combination in many grass forms and forests, appearing some bushes in different proportions. In the southeast of the Gral. Ibarra district and to the east of the Gral. Taboada district are the quebrachos santiagueño and chaqueño. To the species already mentioned the guayacan can be added, the palo borracho, the white locust and among the grasses the aibe.

Grassland Chaco and savannas

They are linked with the Humid Pampas. There are big areas free of forest where cattle exploitation is bred. It involves the districts of Rivadavia, Mitre, Aguirre and part of Ibarra and Moreno. The physiognomy of the vegetation is dominated by the arboreal savanna, accompanied by grassland spaces.
