It belonged to the family Mazzini-Borzone, one of the pioneers of the process settler in the region. The area where settles the city it belonged from 1719 up to 1767 to the Jesuit stay San Miguel of the Carcarañal.

In the place there was a position call The Candlemas, in the one which, according to the popular tradition, was the Virgin's image. Expelled the Jesuit, the lands were divided in perpendicular rashers to the river Carcarañá, where several farmers were located dedicated to the dairies.

Here it passed the Real road toward the High Peru, and for him they crossed, among other, the viceroy Sobremonte in route to Córdoba, after the first English invasion, and the generals San Martin and Manuel Belgrano going to military campaigns in the north.

Entering for the Boulevard Columbus (RN33), take to the right the Boulevard Ovid Lakes . In the second block, corner of Catamarca, is the Museum and Municipal File Do Santos F. Tosticarelli that this installed in a modern building, it is dedicated to the regional history. It is worth a visit.

In their interior is the tomb of Married Carlos of the Alisal and of their wife Ramona ("Casilda") Sastre Aramburu. The image of the Candlemas's Virgin is also that, according to the tradition, it would have been brought by the Jesuit.

Continue on foot for street Buenos Aires and in the corner of the Boulevard Ovid Lakes will see a building in style art nouveau that, formerly, it was the Married cinema; today it occupies it a sweet shop. In that corner, the building of the Bank Nation is to a side, inaugurated in 1910, and in the other one the Municipal Palacio, built between 1926 and 1927 for the architects Gerbino and Schwarz.

Surround the square and, in the corner of streets D. Alighieri and Married, will see the Social Club, in lands donated for Married. Their headquarters projected it the French architect René Beard.
