San Juan's province is located in the center-west of the national territory, in the region of whose.

San Juan's province limits to the north with The Rioja; to the east, with The Rioja and San Luis; to the south, with Mendoza and San Luis, and to the west, with the Republic of Chile. it is understood among the 28º '22´ and 32º 38´, of south latitude and 66º 43´ 70º 38´, of longitude west.

The provincial capital is San Juan's city, to 640 meters on the level of the sea. The most important cities are San José de Jáchal, San Agustín de Valle Fertil and Villa Santa Rosa.
