It is attracted by waters of low salinity, like in the Samborombón Bay and Very small Sea. It is a flat fish, very compressed, with a small concavity in the dorsal profile; to the height of the head, the eyes are always located of the left side. With pedúnculo of great volume short and fleshy, very small grudges in all its body, even in the fins dorsal, anal and of great volume until half of its extension. Their eyes are little visible, small and separated by a flat space. The pectoral fins are of different size, being greater the one than it is of the side of the eyes. In the ocular side, the color is brown greenish to brown dark, uniforms or with irregular or cleared, clear and dark spots. The clear spots and the darks are concentrated forming ocelos more or less great, some trimmed of target. The blind side is white color. Other species of lenguados exist in the same area of distribution, some arrive more enough at the south.
