| The Chaya riojana |

| It is the party of the three days, a great party of friendship and happiness. The first Spaniards arrived to these lands met with a singular party of water and it dances that they celebrated the diaguitas celebrating the finalization of the crops, although at the present time it is very bound to the Carnival of February. | The Señor de la Peña |

| Tinkunaco Riojano |

The Tinkunaco that means in language quichua "find", is carried out December of every year 31 in front of the portals of Government's House.
The procession, composed by the second lieutenants": a group of twelve men that represent the Spaniards, begins from the Cathedral carrying the image of San Nicolás of Bari; and "the allis": a group of twelve men that represent to the diaguitas, carrying the Boy's image Alcalde from San Francisco's Convent Solano.
Both processions are in front of Government's House and they surrender him homage to the Catholic Faith representing to the two cultures. Later on, the Intendant of the Capital City makes delivery of the keys from the city to the Boy Alcalde and all in hugs and good fortune desires. |
