Climate
Parque Nacional Talampaya

The climate of the province, is dry and hot, it would be uniform if it didn't have the presence of the mountainous cords, where it varies and it becomes cold and dry off. The height makes diminish the temperatures, for this reason the western valleys, to the same latitude that the plains, are fresher.

The general atmosphere is arid due to the excessive dryness of the air and of the winds and to the presence of a very sensitive sandy layer to the heat-giving action of the sun. The annual average of precipitations doesn't overcome the 200 millimeters and they are manifested during the summery time, when the evaporation process is more intense increasing the inadequacy of precipitations.
