Located in a building which was built in 1885 and belonged to the first governor of the Province- General Ignacio Fotheringham. It keeps inside documents, photographies, furniture and clothes from the Colonial Period, appart from portraits, native crafts and an interesting variety of weapons that were used in the War of the "Triple Alianza".

Displayed in four rooms, the museum is called Juan Pablo Duffard since he was one of the first settlers of the area to try to keep the cultural wealth of his ancestors. He grouped a great amount of historical pieces that were ordered to be shown.

Visits can be done individually though we recommend guided tours which are notably enriched by the specific explanation of guides.
