Carlos Paz is a located city-village to the south of the Valley of Punilla, skirted of mountains, furrowed by a river and a wide lake.

The name of the village reminds Carlos Nicandro Paz who is to position in 1901 of the stay that its father bequeathed him, Rudecindo Paz, owner of these lands from the year 1890. Carlos Nicandro promotes the gradual emergence of the city that goes becoming a true tourist center with lapsing of the years, of the hand of the Lake San Roque and its vicinity with the city of Córdoba.
