The territory of the province of Córdoba is distributed between the mountains pampeanas and the plain pampeana.

The province of Córdoba limits to the north with Catamarca and Santiago del Estero ; to the east, with Santa Fé and Buenos Aires, to the south, with The Pampas; and to the west, with The Rioja and San Luis is understood among the 29º30´ and 35º of south latitude, and the 61º 47' and 65º46´ of longitude west of Greenwich.

Divided in 26 departments, Córdoba has a surface of 165.321 km2. In 1991 their population belonged to 2.796.857 inhabitants (1.371.033 males and 1.425.824 women). The censuses of the year 2001 gave the quantity of 3.061.611 inhabitants: 1.492.565 males and 1.562.309 women (data of the National institute of Statistic and censuses - INDEC). The capital city is Córdoba they continue him in importance Río Cuarto, Villa María, San Francisco, Río Tercero and Bell Ville .
