Flying sports in Aluminé and Villa Pehueina

Aluminé together with Villa Pehuenia form a natural environment surrounded by several water surfaces of glacial origin, each one of them accompanied by an exhuberant vegetation of the subantarctic forest, with a predominance of Araucaria or pehuén, the tree representative of this city, which is identified as a tourist attraction as Pehuenia Circuit.

Apart from the protected areas of Lanín National Park , Aluminé has provincial reserve areas such as Chañy Protected Natural Area, and Batea Mahuida Protected Natural Area.

Both paragliding and hang-gliding can be practised in Batea Mahuida volcano, apart from fishing outings in lake Moquehue on route 13, or fly fishing in Quillahue river.

In several lakes and rivers around the city of Aluminé you can go fishing in any of the three modes: trolling, spinning, or fly casting.

You can find information about it in the city.
Rafting is an excellent activity to perform in Aluminé river, which is irregular and has a big volume of water. Outings can be hired in tourist agencies.

Pehuenia Circuit
If you take the route to Paso Icalma you will get to La Angostura del Moquehue in the place where lake Moquhue joins with lake Aluminé . This road is narrow and full of points of interest, for what it is advisable to go slowly and observe everything that nature offers.
On the araucaria bridge starts one of the four wheel drive circuits available in the area.
Under the water enormous trout of different types and colors offer a singular spectacle.
Araucarias, ñires and radales also form part of the scenery.
